Website privacy

Updated 3 November 2026. This page is about basepit.com, the website you are reading. The BasePit service, which you use at app.basepit.com, has its own privacy policy.

Who runs this website

basepit.com is run by SymGov Innovations Labs LLP, who also runs BasePit. Questions about this page go to support_at_symgovlabs.com.

This page covers the website only. Your account and everything you keep in BasePit are covered by the BasePit service privacy policy.

What this website asks of you

Nothing. It has no forms and no sign-in, and it shows no ads. Signing up and signing in happen in the app, at app.basepit.com.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to count visits and to see which pages people read, so we can make the website better. It starts when a page opens, and a notice on the page says so.

For each visit, Google Analytics records:

  • the pages you open on this website, and the page that linked you here;
  • what your browser tells every website: the type of device, the browser, the operating system, the screen size and the language;
  • a rough location, such as a city or a region, worked out from your IP address. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses;
  • how you use a page, such as scrolling and clicks on links to other websites.

Google Analytics does not tell us who you are. We send it no name, no e-mail address, and nothing from your BasePit account.

Google receives this information and handles it under its own privacy policy. Google explains it in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Cookies and the notice

Google Analytics keeps two first-party cookies in your browser, set for basepit.com:

CookieWhat it is forHow long it lasts
_gaA random number that tells one browser from another, so a second visit is not counted as a new visitor.2 years from your last visit
_ga_<ID>Keeps track of your current visit (the session).2 years from your last visit

Each visit starts the two years again. Your browser may delete these cookies sooner. Google lists them in Cookie usage on websites.

The notice at the bottom of the page says that this website uses cookies to understand how it is used. When you press OK, your browser keeps that answer in its local storage, under the name webcore-consent, not in a cookie, so the notice does not come back.

Everything else the page loads

The fonts, styles, scripts and images of this website are served from basepit.com itself. Apart from Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics, a page asks no other website for anything.

This website is delivered through Cloudflare, which carries the pages between our servers and your browser. Like any website's servers, Cloudflare's see your IP address and the page you ask for when your browser asks for one. Cloudflare handles this under its own privacy policy.

Cloudflare also counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare says it uses no cookies and no local storage, and does not fingerprint visitors.

How to opt out

  • Install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. It stops Google Analytics on every website, in that browser.
  • Block or delete cookies for basepit.com in your browser's settings. Google Analytics then cannot tell a return visit from a new one.
  • A content blocker that blocks analytics scripts stops both Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics.

The website works the same whichever you choose.
